Okay so my little girl (8 years) jumped for the first time today!!!! I was so proud, not sure who was smiling more!!! She sat the jump brilliantly and the pony was so well behaved, very genuine, just popped over. Everyone roared at the yard, all thrilled with how well she was doing. And she just kept going - over and over again, with the pole rising a little each time.
She started riding 4 months ago and has only been riding regularly for the last month and only once per week. She has advanced from a wobbly trot to a reasonably secure seat in canter. And she just loves it - wants to ride everyday, all day.
He he.....maybe I have the next Ellen Whitaker!!!!! Lets hope so!
