Well after thinking my mare had a possible infection in her bladder/kidneys, the vet put her on a 5 day course of anti-infams and anti b's just incase there was, though this may not be the case. He felt her back and found she wasnt very comfortabe being touched around the area of her ovaries. He plans to do a scan somepoint this week.
Since then she's been getting gradualy worse-so much so she wont even let me get on her...something which she has NEVER done before.
Her symptoms are that she is struggling to urinate[esp when being ridden] and also urinating excessively[i know doesnt make much sense...but thats how it is..]. She also has a very sore back, exaggerated when i ask her to go on the bit, is grumpy[biting when doing up the girth, very bolshy when being bridled] also she is very quiet in the field..bit detached from other horses.
I'm wondering if anyone else has had a horse have something similar...really worried about her-she means the world to me

Thanks a lot x x x

My horse had an ovarian tumour (benign) which upset her hormones & made her think she was a stallion. She was really aggressive & grumpy. Got it removed, it weighed 15 lbs & was the size of a football & she was fine.

thank you, thats good news, i dont think she has anything that could be cancerous or whatever, she's in very good condition. Hope it isnt too serious!

Rosina's tumour wasn't cancerous - it was just a big lump!! The word 'tumour' made me freak too, but it all worked out okay & she was back competing as if nothing had happened.

That sounds very positive!

Vet is coming out tomorrow, She will be geting bloods, a full internal examination of her bladder and uterus and will also be getting her ovaries scanned.

will update tomorrow-hopefully with good news!
