looked at his leg as asked as I was paranoid about some soft tissue damage there and wanted to make sure ok.Anyway vet asks about knee as it does appear to have a rather large boney bit on upper inner knee joint,Vet said it was F-----itis -sorry really can't remember.Could be due to calcium/phosphorous inbalance when younger as when got him yr ago he wasn't in great condition not bad tho.
Anyway she said to put on a vit supplement but he is on a youngstock pellet feed (has been since got him) so why would he need extra?
Thanks for any feedback as tad confused (and wee bit worried for youngster)

I'm not sure what condition your youngster has. However you did the right thing asking the vet to have a look if you are worried. You could always phone the vet and ask to have the situation explained to you.

Sounds like physitis (sometime spelled ephysitis?) which often happens in fast growing youngsters. The advise I was given by my vet was to knock them (the youngster) back a bit by reducing feed and/or weaning. In bad cases limited exercise was also recommended. Fortunately it has always resolved itself.

Thanks eggs thats sound just like it.Wonder if it was the grass as we have fairly good grass. Was feeding him previously just suregrow but cut it down after speaking to a vet previously as was concerned if should still be feeding him whilst on good grass.
Sets my mind at rest
Thanks again
