I have a minor dilemma regarding my current vets.
Whilst nice, friendly people their facilities (ie. scanning / xraying) are zero - you automatically get referred to the minor ailments hospital 30 miles away or the Dick vets (4 hrs away
)
My girl is broken, they haven't done a lameness workup (and have no intention of doing so) they simply want to send her to the Dick to be looked at there.
There is another local vets practice who do have xray / scanning machines and who could come and do a lameness workup without the hassle of having to drive for hours.
However, for them to even look at my girl I have to change vets to their practice.
Now, the practicality problem: Horsey started treatment with my current vet and has run up a bill which I was intending to put through my insurance (NFU) Will NFU pay both vets or is it likely to be an issue with them?
I do plan to ring both NFU and other vet either this afternoon or Monday but have no idea how to approach the insurance issue.....
Am having a blonde day
