Vet Needed in Ringwood, Hampshire Area - who you recommend?

Hi, a friend is looking to get a horse vetted in the Ringwood area of Hampshire, who would you recommend please?

Any other info about vetting appreciated.

Thanks. Barn equine would charge £181.22 plus £34.17 visit and Endell will charge £222.90 and £37.25 for visit.

Is there something you miss out on taking a cheaper option?????????

Just check with each practice as to what their vetting actually covers - might be slightly different.

I'd use Endells, theyre my vets and theyre fab. My preference would be for Jill Carpenter

I use The Barn and have had them vet several ponies for me. The ones they passed and I bought I had no problems with, at least no problems due to a dodgy vetting. I think they're a super practice, and would recommend you asking for Nenad Zilic if you go with them - they are solely equine vets.

Equally Jill Carpenter from Endells vetted the pony I sold, I couldn't fault her either, she was very thorough. Oh, no difference in the processes they go through having seen it from both sides as it were.

I suppose the thing to ask is who is currently the vet practice looking after the pony you want vetted, and then go with another practice.

Another one you could use is Seadown Vetinerary group, based over nearer to Southampton who also do equines.

There are only a select few vets at Endells actually worth their salt, IMO. They have a very good "public persona" as a veterinary clinic but I have had differing experiences of them. I used to be registered with them but I eventually had enough and changed. For a vetting you should be ok though hopefully, and especially if you get Jill who is fab.
I had Maiden vetted by one of The Barn's vets, she was very thorough and there is no way she could have foreseen my horse going lame. I would definitely use them again if I was in their area. Their customer service is really good too (I am a stickler for good customer service, something lacking with certain other practices...)

Does Liphook not cover this area, I use them v. good IMO

Probably be too far for liphook 60 odd miles so it would probably make it expensive, though they are very good being an equine specialist, it might be worth getting the horse taken there for vetting as they have good facilities.
There is also Seadown at Hythe, I have used them before and they are very good.
