vet or dentist first?

Hi there, my Arab mare who lives out at the minute has developed an inflammed maxillary sinus pretty much overnight.
She's not headshy but I have noticed her headshaking the past few days, there is no discharge, membranes look fine, ok temperature and seems well in herself and i had a good feel of it and she didn't object- she's the kind to really object!
I'm suspecting an infected tooth root and am calling the vet or dentist in the morning.. so who shall i call?
has anyone experienced this before?
don't really want to be calling a vet if it's a dentistry matter. she last had her teeth checked and rasped 4/5 months ago.

i would ring the vet as if she has an infection you may have to get the vet anyway and the vet can deal with any dentistry anyway,if there was no infection problem i would get the dentist
 
I am having problems with my 2 year old Welsh D. He appears to have an extra tooth growing, it has worked its way down to his first incisors. It doesnt appear to be causing him any pain, he is eating fine and has a healthy weight. I have had a visit from a so called qualified dentist who examined him over the stable door and told me he had never seen anything like it (maybe he would have if he had got in the stable with him!) I have spoken to quite a few people who have said if it isnt bothering him leave it alone and that it will probably be a deciduous tooth and will drop out. I am trying to get hold of another dentist for a second opinion, any ideas anyone?
