Vet rant update and request

Our farrier has been today and told us that there is a good (woman) horse vet in Saddleworth , who he thinks we would get on well with, apparently very down to earth. Only problem is he doesn't know the practice name, but thinks the vet is called Gillighan, or something similar does anybody know who this might be? Thanks in advance.

Tried that, I think I may have to ring the farrier and ask him to think very hard about the name!

Sure he doesn't mean John Gilliver? We used to use him, good horse vet.
he is Lancs but more Bolton I think.

There's a John Gilliver who's very good but not sure where he is

No he was deffinate it was a woman, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have got that wrong!

I just wish the silly man had been able to remember the name properly, the practice name would have been nice too. He said he had worked with her a couple of times. If my farrier had been a woman he would have known her name, how many children she had and probably her address, why are men so useless at these things?

There aren't many vets in saddleworth, let alone female ones!
Ian McConnell's practice is based there, but they no longer do horses.
