I’m so delighted and relieved on your behalf @SaddlePsych'D ❤️ I hope her treatment is effective and quick ❤️❤️❤️
I'm glad I didn't book her in to the big field this week. Been tempted with the better weather but thought just wait until the physio has been. Good that we didn't because she would almost certainly make it worse or at the very least stop it from healing. Most of our walks are just bimbling about on the long line anyway but will have to put a pause on her morning off-lead run around she does with OH and definitely no big field trips for a couple of weeks.

Final update on this. We followed physio's plan for on lead walking and actually did a bit longer than recommended before bringing back long lead walks. Ivy had her first 'big run' at the secure field on Wednesday and you could tell she needed that run! She was more effortless than I think I have ever seen her run.

Ideally I was going to wait until post-physio follow-up for the big running but due to a mix up with the appointment physio was back today. This actually worked out well because we know the muscle has healed successfully and not been negatively impacted by the run. We have the green light to get her back out off lead regularly and a suggestion of an exercise to help even up her back leg muscles on that side.

Ivy is now sleeping off her massage and laser treatment (some sight/sore spots but no further injury), in a mild cheese-coma from all the primula bribery to keep her from wandering back to bed when she got fed up!
