With the intention of better nutrition for healthy hooves, considering the change between vet. vitality to fast fibre (gradually) for my new boy. After a long while looking at them, I cant see much difference between them? Aside from added probiotics. Although, he is only 13 so far from veteran, but does well off it.

The main differences are the important ones that you need to be careful of in a barefoot diet, the VV has 10% starch and higher sugar than FF which is nice and low in both. Make the change gradually and if he needs a bit more then add some micronised linseed to give condition and consider a vit/ min supplement or a balancer.

Our old boy got fed up of eating fast fibre....use to add vv to ff or he wouldn't eat it...assume ff must taste rather bland compared to vv?!

Sorry for jumping on your thread OP but I'm also in process of changing feeds! Frankiecob you have given good advice before on mineral supplements etc for barefoot so value your opinion - why pink mash? I feed a baseline of unmollassed sugar beet and then usually Agrobs mixed in but am looking for something to help with condition so was advised to use Coolstance Copra - are they similar feeds?
