a friend said that i should do the veteran class at the RNS
now what do i need and what do i have to do
any extra info would be fab

If its veteran horse society classes, you need to look at their website as they have particular rules, such as I think they don't gallop. You would need to turn your horse out to type, so fancy browband if a riding horse or hack type, or plain browband if a hunter. Generally it is go round together walk trot and canter as usual and then an individual show. Haven't dont any VHS stuff for a few years so can't provide much more detail but the website has a lot of info on it or hopefully other people will help you further.
 
I would have a look at local stuff as well first- try the North Norfolk one in May, and there are some at local RC stuff. Usually the standard is really quite high- my horse and I tend to manage about 3rd (although we get the occasional judge who appreciates the insane... :D ).
 
yes i wasnt going to go straight to RNS lol... i was going to go to a few first and see how she goes, and how it runs lol, ive done classes like that before; normally 3rd ish... or last if she prats about. will need to practise cantering in a group lol
