Veteran Horse insurance

Any one recommend alternatives to Pet Plan for 16+ cover for vets fees mostly.

I wanted to keep the premium down as much as possible and as he's retired suggested a low value to do so, but pet plan have said as he was insured for a higher figure when competing they can only go to half of that previous figure which bears no resemblance to actual value

just been speaking to Amtrust who do, unfortunately the lady i spoke to hasn't made it to the office today, but sounds promising, NFU do to.

Vets fees for veterans is normaly only for visable external injury and that goes for death of horse to. Ilness is not normaly covered (I could be wrong and correct me if i am please but that was the case when i looked). I don't insure Lucy who is atleast 20 as i read all the exclutions and figured they where never going to pay out. She had to go to hospital a few months ago and they asked if she was insured, i laughed and told them how old she was, They said oh and we worked out a payment plan i could afford and that kept everyone happy.
