Silly questions coming up .....

Can you enter an area qualifier without being a registered VHS member?

If answer to above is yes, if you won, would you get qualify for regionals ( and have to join VHS within x amount of days)

Slightly stupid questions I know but I'm confused!!!!

Didnt know the answer, so did a little bit of searching and found,,,
Q. How do I qualify for Olympia?

A. You need to first join the Society, forms are available here to download. Then go to any of the qualifying shows that are on
our showing site. You need to be one of three highest placed members of your class to gain a qualification card. You will then
send this card to the showing office, who will then send you all the information you need to allow you to attend the next round,
this is the Regional Final. The Champion of the Regional Final goes to Olympia. This year you can go to as many Regional
Finals as you wish, BUT if anyone is seen to travel their veterans up and down the country and to every Regional their
membership * will be revoked and they may not compete in these classes until the following year, if at all.

from the rulebook.....To compete in a Regional Final you must be a fully paid member of VHS with a membership and registration show card (or a covering letter from the show office) and your mount must be registered with VH Showing. Once qualified, you must compete in the Regional Final on the same registered horse/pony, rider/handler combination.

from what I have read then I understand you could enter VHS classes/shows but can not qualify for regional finals unless already a member at qualifing show,(hope that makes sence!)

No you cannot qualify unless your a fully paid up member, horse needs to be a member owner if not you needs to be a member passport needs overstamping and you need a showing card :D
