Veteran insurance and suspensory injury

My pony has a possible suspensory damage. Hes not ridden so must have done it in the field. Is it likely that insurance will pay for treatment?

What is the precise wording of the policy?

It should do unless you have specific exclusions.

It says covered for injury but as hes 25 I wonder if they will say its age related. Its petplan.

Vet said to try and claim. rest and painkillers at moment but may be scans etc to come.

It’s usually accidental external injury cover on veteran policies - ie. Horse put its leg down a rabbit hole (witnessed not guessed/assumed) or got a wire cut.
You can try, especially if the horse is retired but I wouldn’t hold out too much hope personally, sorry

Hes a companion pony so not ridden anyway. We are guessing he has injured himself in the field. Vet is not really sure what it is yet but guessing ligament.
