Help please. My 30 year old horse does not want to eat his hard feed. This has been going on for four days now. I have not called the vet as he seems okay in himself. He comes in at night and is still eating all his haylage as normal. When I go to catch him, he is grazing normally and still rolling everyday. He certainly is not standing in the corner of the field hanging his head. He is fed 16+, chaff and bran and usually loves his food. I should add that he has Cushings and takes Pergoloid for it. Should I call the vet out?

Would it be worth getting a fresh bag of feed, it may not taste particularly nice for some reason, maybe its got damp or contaminated with something..... try adding in some nice treats. If hes eating his haylage ok then he hasnt totally lost his appetite
