As title - is this any different to normal showing?

Friend is doing ridden vet in a couple of months and will be buying everything she needs. It is a VHS qualifying class so the dress needs to be correct.

The horse looks like WelshD/trad cross, breeding actually unknown, but she is bay with a fair amount of feather, and a lightweight cob type.

I have advised friend long black boots, cream joddies, green tweed jacket, blue hat, blue/yellow shirt depending on the check on the jacket, blue/red/yellow/green tie depending on shirt and jacket, brown cane & gloves.

You turn out the same as for "normal" showing its just different types are all in one class.

If the horse is a lightweight cob type I would presume he should be turned out as a cob ie hogged and trimmed - but I don't do cobs so don't quote me on that bit:D

Riders attire would be correct with tweed for a cob - don't go over the top with tie and shirt though - tweed jacket, cream shirt, tie, brown gloves, cane, black boots, beige jods.

Phone Claire Frost at the showing office (she is also a pannel judge for anumber of societies) and she will steer you in the right direction in respect of horse turn out

Make sure your tack is clean too!! you are marked on turn out

Good luck
