Veteran showing class- suitable bits

helpppp!!!
I am doing my first veteran ridden class, Only a local level event,
But i am very unsure on what bits a suitable to ride in, I usually ride my mare in a hanging cheek snaffle but she can get strong and silly with lots of other horses around her..... So is it possible to do this class in a pelham with 2 reins or does it need to be a proper double bridle?

any advice welcome

Pelham with two reins should be fine, you don't need a full double. Good luck
