I'd like to do some in-hand veteran showing with my cob this year. She's 24 and im just going to do it for fun. But i was wondering whether anyone had any experience of them? And whether you think she'll be ok (condition/confo wise)?

Also do you think she should have her legs clipped and mane hogged or left natural? (don't think i'll clip her legs until i've done a class or 2).

Here is a piccie, its not great as shes on a slope-

I Took my 19 yr old mare in veteran classes. Check out the veteran horse society. Horses are judged on movement (i.e looseness of movement), there state etc.
Also obviously the age is taken in consideration. An older horse in better condition for its age can still be placed above a younger horse.
I think also you have a tag on the bridle with the age on, the classes i did at veteran horse society shows you had to.
Hope this helps?
