This is a random thread but I just wondered, if anyone has veterans, how old they are and what they get upto?
My Grandad's mare is fab, she's an ex grade A, who has show jumped at Olympia, been whipper-in for the hunt and hacked out every week, had foals and then retired, so being a keen teenager who wanted to learn to ride I pulled her out of retirement and she taught me everything I know. But now I've got my own horse I've let her relax a bit and just take her out every so often. But to say she was galloping earlier in the year at the grand old age of 32 I don't think she's doing bad!
