now i know it might be a bit early to be thinking bout this as im only in my gcse year but i really would love to be an equestrian vet or large animals. anyway i was just wondering what grades you need and subjects at gcse/a level and what universities do veterinary courses? i live in the north east so any up here?

def not too early, if anything too late! i was doing work experience from the age of 14. to get into vet school you need straight A's and A*'s at GCSE and A-Level and a whole heap of work experience. You dont get to choose which vet school you go to in most cases as you'll be doing well to get more than one offer. There are 7 in the country - London, Bristol, Cambridge, Nottingham, Liverpool, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Suggest you find your school careers advisor and have a good chat about if it's an option for you. You cant choose to be a horse vet until after you graduate - you have to learn about all animals.
