Good evening

Does anyone know of any yards that specialise in rehabilitating horses that have suffered tendon injuries. Am looking for a yard that can lead in hand safely and securely for a minimum of three months and if suitable to undetake ridden work thereafter up to a year. Any suggestions welcomed! Thank you.

My 6yo gelding has been at Priory Farm Stables in Langley near Slough since middle of December on strictest box rest with a pedal bone fracture. I cannot recommend them highly enough! The care is immaculate, the stable always spotless. He gets groomed daily and his rugs are always changed morning and evening. He always has a haynet in front of him and gets plenty of TLC. The atmosphere is really peaceful and quiet.

Mary & Abbie are very knowledgeable and specialise in rehabilitation. In fact they were highly recommended by my vet. As soon as my horse's x-rays are good enough, he will start his walking programme there. There have a huge horse walker, an equine spa (which will be brilliant for tendon injuries), a lovely menage and hacking.

Check out their website: www.horserehab.co.uk

Good luck!

I used Shardeloes in Amersham, Bucks when one of my horses had to do strict in-hand walking for two months following surgery for OCD. Manager was very good and my horse (not always the easiest with in-hand walking) did very well there.
