I have just ordered this for my boy, to see if I can get a better result, have tried lots of different ones in the past, riaflex probably being the best, but I thought it won,t hurt to try this and see if there is more improvement!
Does anyone else use this and recommend it?

Hello! Sorry - saw your post earlier and been a bit of a hectic day...

Yes, I've tried this. M has a really knack'd hock joint/right hind (technical term, obv!) and has had a few steroid injections, which helped for the last 3/4 years. He swung his leg so far across and under that it used to belt the opposite hoof on its way and was really noticeable - plus meant he didn't want to carry too much weight on his back end and was off-loading on his left front shoulder.

But, as I say, steroids had been helping keep him straight(ish).

Diagnosed with Cushings in March, so steroids not an option as laminitis risk, so started Vetroflex plus Vetrofen.

Have to say, I've also been strict about doing 6 days out of 7, 1 hour hack on roads with walk and trot, gradually bringing him into a correct outline, but I have been very impressed by the combined result.

He has straightened out, his joint seems much stronger (in that for the first few shoeings, he was really wearing the toes of his front shoes and in the last 6 weeks, the weight has obviously been transferring to the back).

I had his back done in March, where he obviously had a number of very 'sore spots' where muscles were working in opposite directions, and last week, he was much, much better: was so relaxed, he nearly fell over!

So, I shall be carrying on with it for him: it's not cheap, no, but it seems to work and if it makes him happy and comfy in his work ...

:)That sounds promising, I had a cushings test and although Romeo,s came back as normal it was in the grey area and he has been footy recently so I want to get away from glucosamine, he has had herbal movefree in the past which was quite good, but that is expensive as you have to feed so much!
Anyway I will give it a go and then maybe look at the vetrofen too,he currently has danilon which I want to wean him off, so I do have some boswellia on order!
As you say if it keeps them happy and comfy,it is worth it! Thanks for answering

You're welcome! And do keep us posted about how you get on with it. They do say it depends on each case how fast you see an improvement.:)

I have been using Vetroflex for about 6 months and both my horses have been doing very well on it. It seems to be the most effective joint supplement I have used.
