Vets call out fees... Over priced or am I being tight??

My vets call out fee is £35 + vat and we are in the 6-11 miles from surgery category. Wish they did free call out days but no such luck.

We have a vets about 500 yards as the crow flies or 600 if you come by road they charge £54 call out plus a £30 consultation fee then any drugs or treatment on top so you start at 84 before they tell you what to do.

I call that massively overpriced!

Mine is £35 and gets split if it's a visit for more than one owner.

I pay about £40 now. The vets i used to use charged £75, total rip off if you ask me.
