Vets in Doncaster

I have bought a horse from "up North" (I am a southern fairy) and need him vetted. It'll only be a 2 stage as he is only 6 months old. Can someone recommend a vet to use? I won't be able to be there for the vetting. If anyone knows any to steer clear of please PM me as well!

Give Churchfields from Barnsley a call 01226 733333. I use Tom Byrne from there who is really good. He has a thick Irish accent so you can't understand a word he says but couldn't recommend him enough.

All the vets at The Equine Veterinary Centre at Moorhouse are excellent. They cover certain areas on certain days for routine work. Callout is much cheaper on those days which would be worth you enquiring about.

I fully endorse the vets at the Equine Veterinary Centre. They are fab. The Australian man is Damien Cain and he is great with horses. Quiet, caring nature and is extremely thorough in everything he does. Richard Coppack and Anne Walker are also very good. They do half price visits to different regions on certain days of the week which I utilise for vaccinations and work that can wait. Damien comes to Selby area on Mondays.

Chruchfields are very very good. Came out to partners horse after a serious incident in horsebox, when another, local practice refused to come out as not their customer... (Easter Sunday) Other practice mentioned on here, contact Churchfields, they care!
