need to register my horse with a vet. he is stabled in tadley, can anyone recommend a good vet practice?

I use Valley Veterinary Group. I think they'd cover Tadley area. They're based near Bradfield, with surgeries in Pangbourne and Spencers Wood. They have 3 specialist equine vets, X-ray/Scanner at SW surgery, and refer to Liphook for major injuries/surgery etc.
Also heard good things about O Gormans, and Shotter & Byers. No personal experience, but they do treat some of the horses on our yard and seem pretty good.
The other big place locally is Scott Dunn's. I'm not a fan, but you're likely to get a lot of recommendations for them.

I use Stable Close too and have had no probs. Although they are now based near Winchester and don't think they go as far as Tadley.

I use McGonnall & Gillatt, I have for years (since they set up) and used Andrew McGonnell prior to that when he was with O'Gormans.
They are a lovely friendly and professional equine practise with a good range of portable facilities. They tend to refer into O'Gormans for surgery. I have never felt the need to look elsewhere as they have always been excellent.

Another vote here for McGonnell & Gillatt, changed to them last year, they are great vets, professional, thorough & helpful.

I'm from the other side of Reading, on the way towards Windsor and I use Shotter and Byers even though I am 1 mile from Scott Dunns.
Nearly every horse on our yard uses them, have done for years, and I can honestly say they are fantastic. Always on hand to call even if only for advice, and I've lost count of the times they have 'popped in' to make sure we are all ok!
