vettec instant horse shoes

It might be a great product ...but, aren't you just filling in the bad bits and not correcting the hoof/angle/problem???

Don't know enough about these things, but wonder if any Farriers might comment?

wow..i think you get the foot trimmed up as usuall then apply that instead of the metal shoe...bet its expensive though

i was looking at it as a stop gap for a retired horse, he some times gets small stones stuck in his white line region, rest of the hoof is rock hard and the blacksmith has told me that it would be a waste of money to put shoes back on him and he is not tender anywhere else

i was looking at this for a half way house for the summer with these instant shoes, more of away of protecting that small bit of hoof whilst allowing the ponies feet to be as natural as possible

the same company also do a filler pad for the shoeless horse which you just pour in, was wondering if anyone had used these products before i start hasseling the farrier

Think this is probably a great idea for you

Especially if it's just the white line you want to protect. I can also see the advantage of not putting holes in the hoof (as in nail holes).

I would think they would be pretty expensive, and I suppose it depends on how long they last

Sorry I'm no help really, but just thought it was very interesting
