thanks everyone!!! i know im going to get absolutely no work done today. i keep checking my phone to see if ive got a missed call even though the vetting only started 20 mins ago haha!! xx

Lovely big black 16.3hh 7 year old TB X. Did a couple of point to points but wasn't fast enough. Has done some hunting etc. He will need a bit of schooling and fattening up but he has a lovely temperament which is the main thing.

What are you getting HoHum?

xx

Thats sounds lovely and could have been my choice... if I hadn't gone completely away from my usual type and looked at a 15.1 skewbald cob (8yrs)!! Never owned a cob before!

He a very laid back hunter, was out with a v young girl at weekend and that's what I was looking for...
Only two stage vetting so ... should be getting call in half hour, assuming vet made it on time...

How's your nerves?

aww he sounds lovely, nice and safe which is always a good thing! skewbalds are very pretty too. my boyfriend refers to them as "cowboy and indian" horses haha!

you will probably get a call before me so let me know what the vet says!!

my nerves are awful!! my tummy is flipping over and ive had to sneak out of work for a ciggie three times already this morning even though im trying to quit!! my boss just gave me some crappy work to do and i feel like telling her to bugger off!! these non horsey folk just don't understand!!!!

eeeeekkkkkk!!!!!! xx

I have even turned mine back onto "ring" even though usually on silent in office...Should be writting planning application ... instead running through all things I need to do if he passes... in fact planning to leave work at lunchtime and go get him...and buy feed to suit him, and shavings to make up new stable and ring saddle fitter... and insurance....any thing else?

mine is now on ring as well :-) planning application... yuck! I'm avoiding looking up info for a patent application.

so much to organise!!! i won't get mine until thursday and I'm off work for a week from tonight onwards so all my shopping will be done tomorrow! its so exciting! i can't think of anything else you will need this afternoon. im a fan of spending money i dont have just for the sake of it though so ill be buying new hay nets, head collars, lead ropes etc. lots of things that i really don't need heehee!!

any news yet? xx

still waiting, but i know from past experience the vet gets back in his car meaning to call and then takes other calls....and doesn't realise I'm on tender hooks.
I have a lot of stuff fortunately from past horses, but cos I've never had one this size or shape will be interesting to see how rugs fit etc...

is it one ish you expecting call ?

i spoke to the vet this morning and they said that the vetting would be between 10 and 10:30, would take about 2 hours and they would call me straight after it... so i should have a call any time now hopefully! xx

aww that's fab hun!!

mine failed :'-( not gonna get him. the vet said she thought he had left laryngeal haemoplegia - basically a blockage in his throat which will affect him doing anything more than light schooling. she was a bit worried about various other behavioural things too.

oh well, £250 down but I suppose its a lucky escape really.

xx

Oh bad news. And bad news for the owner too - wonder what he/she will do now....
Good luck with your search. I am desperately looking. Found 2 I liked and both failed their vettings. My pot to buy another is diminishing fast!
