Straitons are only in Penkridge but I couldn't recommend any particular vet as haven't used them myself.

Straitons at Penkridge, can't recommend them highly enough and there are a lot of very competent horse vets there. Plus they are only 5 mins from Rodbaston.

The only problem with using the Penkridge ones may be that there could be a conflict of interests - it could be the current owners' vet? I've heard very good things about them so if no conflict of interest a good idea.
I can very heartily recommend Fyrnwy Equine - Simon Woods or Jim Tipp (nr Shrewsbury, so perhaps a bit far) or Stretton Hills - a friend has used James Bowdler from this practice and highly recommends.
