I'm hopefully going to go ahead and buy a horse that I've been viewing and intend to have it vetted. The owner has been honest and told me about an existing issue, but that she has recently had it investigated by a well regarded expert. Anyway I have a copy of the very comprehensive report (and the x-rays) and the outcome is that in their professional opinion the horse is at no more risk than anything else, can carry on being ridden in all disciplines & is perfectly insurable etc. My question is would you let the vet whose coming to do the vetting know about it all beforehand or wait until he finds it himself and then let him read the report?
