What if you are having a horse vetted and are not there. The horse fails on something early on. Should the vet ring you to let you know in case you don't want to carry on - i.e the horse has failed, no point in spending any more money having the vetting finished or should they just carry on?

well to be honest i think you'll find you get charge for the full 2* vetting anyway the only way it may be stopped and works out cheaper if you were booked in for a 5*

I've had 2 horses vetted that failed and both vets called me as soon as they had found a failure to discuss it and ask if I wanted them to carry on.
Mind you, one of them did then charge me £50 extra on top of the cost of the vetting (which he classed as a 2* as he had done some of it but not all of it) for waiting for 10mins while I rang my friend to ask their advice on what he had found!!!!!
Make sure you discuss it with them before they go so they know your expectations of them and you know what they are going to do.
Are you having a horse vetted and is there anything in particular you think might fail?

best advice is to take the time off work and be there for the vetting. that way you can discuss as found, and get a pass or fail without pre determined exclusions on your insurance
