Am having my potential new horse five stage vetted on Monday- pretty much all the vets round here won't come out at five PM or later (perfectly sensible of course, I wouldn't want to be working in the dark either!
) so we have scheduled to have one done during the day. This means I can't be there as I'll be at school, but my semi-horsey mum will be there to hear what the vet says (she has instructions to take notes if she hears something she doesn't understand!). I've never seen a vetting, as our old horse had recently passed one when we bought him, and the current one is just on loan from a friend so didn't bother. So a couple of (probably really stupid) questions.
- What exactly does it entail? (if anyone maybe has a link to a website or something if they CBA to explain that would be great?
)
- How long does the actual vetting take? (obviously depends on how different vets work but still!)
- We're getting bloods done- how long might it be before we get those back? (again, I know above applies!)
Thanks!
