She's going in for tests again today :( She's been 'off' for a couple of weeks - today is vet visit number four. They're pumping antibiotics into her and have taken bloods etc but can't decide what the problem is right now. She's still eating but not very much and is generally miserable. If it's safe mum is going to ask them to neuter her in case its that causing a problem.

On the plus side - she can walk over a mile without threatening to collapse now and her muscles have doubled in size :) Will post some pics soon - I havent seen her in a while as I had to send Yellow Dog to live with them while I sort the house etc out and move after ditching my bf but I'm picking him up tomorrow :)

Thanks guys :) Second lot of blood tests have come back clear so she's booked in for X-Rays asap. She's weeing herself all the time and is so miserable :( she's also losing weight really quickly. Mum was bathing her back end every day but the wet seems to be irritating her skin so we're not sure what to try next, atm Mum is wiping her with a damp towel then drying her as best as possible so if anyone has any ideas they would be gratefully received. Crossing everything the x-rays show something so we know what we're dealing with and can get her sorted asap.

MM - I changed my name a few days ago, I split from my bf and he knows my details on here :)

Oh no, I missed this yesterday.
Hope she is feeling better soon. Thank goodness she is going through this with someone to are for her though, could have been very different for her.
Huge Vibes Sandy x

Thanks V - I can't imagine her old owners spending money on getting this sorted, luckily Mum's vet is letting her pay in installments as Sandy isn't insured due to her age. Costing a small fortune but she's worth it :)

Oh, so sorry to hear about poor Sandy. The one good thing is that she now has such a caring family to look after her. I've just had a similar experience with a little dog I adopted a month ago. Last week he had 2 days on a drip at the vet, 2 x-rays and an operation - it turned out that he had gastro-enteritis (they think!) so I know exactly how you feel and I do hope the dear girl recovers as well as Harley has. lots of vibes for you all.
