i am having a horrible day came to my guiena pig this morning go clean and feed her like every other morning and she had died over night. she was only at the vets the other weekend having her nails trimmed and they gave her a full bill of health. what could cause a healthy pig to die so quickly? sweet dreams pug love always mummy!

Oh dear very sad. To be honest though over the years of owning guinea pigs I find it easier to deal with the fact they do just seem to die quickly like that. No painful decisions to be made and no evidence of suffering generally.

Still it's never nice losing a pet is it.

she was only 3 and a half with a full bill of health. eating drinking running around 10 hours prior to her death thats why i can not work out why or how she hda died?

My younger daughters little piggy died when I was on holiday.... she too was happy the day before....

They do tend to not show too many symptoms of illness... and kind of go in a flash.

Sad, but better than a suffering pet and a huge vets bill

Sorry to hear this, I had lots of piggies as a kid, some only lived three years and my oldest one made five. Unfortunately they often do seem to do this and it is very sad to find them the next day after they looked ok that evening.

Hugs to you and RIP little piggie.
