Lizzie has just opened her leg up on a barbed wire fence while after bunnies so we're off to the vets. It's a nice clean tear down the back of her back leg and I've cleaned it up and cut the toe off a sock and pulled it over to stop her messing with it but she will need knocking out and stitches.

She's going to be fine but I know it's going to hurt my pocket

Thanks guys, the lottery windfall turned up in the form of my dear old mum and Lizzie is a complete wimp and had to have a HAMSTER needle for her pre-med.

It was a nasty tear and right over the muscly bit of her thigh going down to the tendon so took layers of stitches to close it up. She's not happy but mostly hacked off 'cos she wants to tear around like a nutter and I won't let her

When will they learn that Lurcher V Barbed wire is a no brainer
