My friend had a series of mishaps the day before yesterday, got head butted by her childrens pony, then riding a friends horse (friend was riding my friends horse) the horse she was riding stopped dead, from canter, she stayed in the plate, but then her lad took exception to all this, barged the horse who had stopped, smacked friend in the face with his head and she fell off! She landed on her bum, got back on managed to ride with broken glasses and thought she was alright. She wasn't so good yesterday, felt sick when standing up, but ok when lying down. Today she rang my sister to ask her to give her a lift to A&E. She has had CT scans and x rays and there is nothing obvious (although at one point they thought she may have dislocated her neck!) She is still not good when upright, so they are keeping her in for observation overnight, not knowing what is causing all this. My sister said friend looked awful when collected to go to A&E.
We are now sitting with fingers crossed and hope that she is feeling better tomorrow, as many vibes as possible from you guys please :)

((((((((((((((((VIBES))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))). Hope she's on the mend soon. Sounds like she's jared her spine and that's the pits and very painful as I should know.:(:(:(:(

Thanks guys (partic Pearlsasinger for bumping the thread :) )
She must be feeling a bit better as she has texted to say that she was miffed to be in hospital this evening as she was going to bring pizza tonight :)

Sounds like you had better take her some for breakfast in hospital tomorrow! ;)

Hope she feels better very soon - horse v head clashes are not nice! :(

I think she was rambling lol (our local hospital is not keen on people taking food in) She will be making a horrid patient as she is a nursing sister :)
Hopefully she will be better tomorrow, her OH may not be too keen on her two little boys learning to ride the new pony if friend doesn't improve quickly.
It was a lot better to hear from her this evening, than this afternoon when she was saiting for the result of the CT scan, when it looked like a possible fracture

LOL! When I in, no way were they stopping my mother and sister bringing me food.... Especially as I needed everything pureed! :p

You shall have to have a super pizza buffet ready and waiting to welcome her home! :D

I think you are right Puppy, with extra chilli (yeuch!!) The fright she has given us and her family is a bit much. She won't ride my mare because she is spooky! The horse she was riding is very much like my mare, so goodness knows what possesed her to ride it in the first place. Her lad is a bit terratorial on a good day and we think he took the opportunity to tell the horse she was riding to give him his mum back :)
