Hello! It's been a long time since I've done an update on Gypsy and we've done a lot since so I thought I'd fill you in :)
As I can't remember when I last updated, I'll start from new year. On new years day I started my new job/work experience upbeat a fairly big yard and gypsy gets to live there too :) which means he now gets ridden every day and is getting fitter by the minute!
Throughout the winter we have been doing a SJ and a dressage winter league, we've had lots of placing, and we have actually been winning most of the dressage tests! We are sticking around the prelims for now. So we are currently 2nd in the dressage league and about 5th in the show jumping :D so pleased with the little man :)
So yyesterday I took his to an.express eventing competition (in an arena) it was prelim 14 test which we got around 69% on, which put us in 2nd place, then we did the SJ/arena XC which we went clear in and we only went and won the whole class! :D :D

Very, very pleased with the little one, the vets coming to do his teeth end of this month so we're going to clip his legs while he's out of it and the rest of his face so there won't be much malting going on in the spring! And I'm.half way through pulling his mane (there is a lot to pull!) so it's a complete make over ready for the competition season ahead :)

Anyway, a video from express eventing yesterday! CC welcome but I do have my instructor :)

Well done! Fab pony!

I know what you mean about the moulting - I went to clip my daughter's yak-like welsh A this weekend as his moult is a nightmare! Does not end until June and then starts growing it again in August!

Bloody blades weren't sharp enough though so he will stay looking like a badly moth eaten rug until I get then back from the sharpeners!

Thank you :) and yes we have the same problem with malting! Starts about march, doesn't stop until about July and it's continuous heavy fallout, then his summer coat only sticks around for about a month! So its all coming off, hes fully clipped at the moment apart from half his face and legs which are coming off soon :)

Well done.....but how on earth do you remember such a long course of jumps?! Tho to be fair i struggle with any more than 3....!!

haha thanks! i'm not too sure, they flow quite well and i guess its just practice... i used to be awful at remembering! you can see me at the start of the course trying to go through it haha :p
