These handful of idiots do ruin the image of the mostly sensible car driving population. I'd like the 'nice considerate polite driver' facebook page - I hacked out yesterday on a usually busy road that's closed for resurfacing further down so they have shut the road at a junction before us. I wouldn't normally be on there middle of a week day.
Typically as I was coming home a massive artic carrying scraped up tarmac came out of the road works section behind us. I moved into the middle of the road so he didn't sneak past - then trotted the flat bits (walked the downhill bit - horse has dodgy hocks) to get to my drive - with my arm out signalling to turn. He was so considerate - kept miles back and at 3 mph even crawling past the drive entrance when I was well clear. These guys are always under time pressure and I definitely cost him 5 minutes so there are some lovely people about too. I waved a big thank you and thumbs up
