As it's that time of year where our horses like to lose shoes and get abscesses, I thought it was a good time to put together a video guide to putting on a foot pack. I was taught the method I use at a large stud farm in Ireland as they were constantly having to do them in the winter on everything from foals upwards!

I hope you all like it - it's a bit long but I wanted to get everything in.

I have been having a rough time recently but doing these does cheer me up. Any suggestions for anything else that people want to see demonstrated would be great. Ridden/inhand work is out as Nickel is semi-retired and is not at all up for anything that involves going into the school.

I really enjoyed this thank you! I've had a look on your channel so apologies if I've missed anything but maybe you could some more of the basics? Even stuff for people (like me) who don't have their own horse yet but want to get a grounding of how not to be a nuisance at the yard-mucking out, hoof picking, grooming Inc which brush is for what and all. I'm currently in a riding school and it's hard to get practical experience of the care stuff with Covid and everything! Might be too basic to keep you interested but just my two cents. Thanks again for the vid and well done you're really watchable and clear.

This is exactly the sort of thing I am planning on showing. I can't do anything ridden but the basic stuff like how to put on and fit rugs etc is what I'd like to concentrate on.
