As you have all been helping me with the advert for my friends cob for sale i thought i'd show you the video i put together yesterday.

The owner has had an enquiry from someone who requested a video first (as she lives over 2 hours away). So yesterday the RI came and i filmed it and put the vid together last night.

At the end the RI said 'Awww, i dont think i want you to sell him now...' - he went so well it was lovely to watch him.

Hope you enjoy my little vid :)

He's lovely. It's nice to see a video where the rider isn't constantly nagging with legs or heels and the horse is going forward. I should think he'll find a new home really easily.

Im not even a 'cob person' but i think he looks lovely.......can u not keep him?? :D

he's not mine, he belongs to a 61 year old lady at the yard and i have been helping her advertise him (she's not good on a computer).

She has arthritis in her hands and he is just that bit too strong for her. She loves him to bits and is understandably going through a real emotional rollercoaster in terms of deciding to part with him.

The lady riding is my instructor also and she has brought Chico on for me and she rides really nicely. She is also an excellent instructor when i am riding too.

He is lovely! Moves so nicely, forward going and seems light on his toes for such a heavy chap, and his mane and feathers are to die for, I'm sure he'll have no problem finding a nice home.

actually he has been advertised for a couple of weeks now and they had no interest at all. They reduced his price and have had one person contact them.

I am hoping adding the video will encourage more people to view him - he's only up for £1750!!!

lovely horse nice video not so keen on music your video is a gr8 example for her

one thing how do u get the words into video i have done a few videos like that with my iphone with imovies but cant add words in???

music - that was the hardest bit - i had to make sure it was a loyalty free track so first had to find a website that i could download free royalty free songs from, then briefly listen to some and just try and pick a couple of songs.

Words - i use Windows Live Movie Maker and you can just add comments while you are editing it.

Blimey - only £1750! I would have had him up at £3000 from the video...though it doesn't mention if he jumps and if he doesn't that would knocks down the price a bit. If he does jump, then £1750 might even put me off a bit as it seems quite cheap for a nice cob.

I am not a cob person but he looks lovely and forward going. Personally I don't think the advert photos do him justice - I would take some photos on a lovely sunny day (like in video) when his coat is gleaming and he has his ears forward, standing nicely :).

Hope he finds a lovely home.

oh just like my old boy and just what I am looking for but a bit too young as I dont know how to bring a horse on and just wish I did! I have the use of a full size menage too...

He is lovely and I hack alone a lot............if he was down my way and 2 years older etc would go out alone ok I would snap him up! I think he is well priced too. I am sure he will go..... great video and a good selling aid good luck with him.

No footage of the 61 year old though...

there is - she's the torso that walks in front of the camera with the poop scoop!!

I took some lovely video of her standing with Monty but when she realised i was filming her she asked not to be on the video as she looked a mess (she didnt, just yard cloths!), so hence no owner on vid

Well wishing you success he really is a lovely boy and I wish wish I could have one just like him....this is my type of horse he is just a lovely cob! Sorry gush just like the one I retired..thats why the gushy.....ohhh.

Hope he goes to a good home now.

just got a text from the owner - apparently my video brought her to tears and she's not sure she can bear to part with him now. Think she is starting to realise that it isnt anything Monty has done so much as her own confidence issues. I would be pleased to see her keep him but will wait and see.

He is absolutely gorgeous! Wish i had the time and money for another as would snap him up straight away. Good luck with finding him a good home x

I would buy him - he looks lovely! Sadly I don't have a spare £1750 to wave around before the owner changes her mind

looks like i did too good a job on the video - someone else on the yard now wants a video of their pony!

Will have to make sure i do one of my own horse at some point :D

Nice looking cob and if had the money and time I would buy him. I would also keep his mane and feathers too as he is a gypsy vanner and personally I don't think hogging him would make him look any better. I like him just the way he is. For the photos if he had been washed and mane, tail and feathers brushed out he might have looked smarter. Or even if he had had a running plait in his mane even. Other than that he looks very nice and had a nice action to him in trot. Great video btw, nicely put together.

Am also not a cob person but he looks lovely, very genuine!
I do agree though that the photos of him don't do him justice, neither does the price for such a lovely looking and able lad :)

we considered that but no-one on the yard knew how to do one, lol!

Lol me neither but think they look really pretty. Have never had the patience or time to try it on my boy, perhaps one day.
I also agree about earlier comments about the price as well as I think he is probably worth more than advertised too as he is pretty, had nice moves and looks straightforward.
He would certainly be one for my collection. Perhaps his owner should consider having someone in to ride him while she builds her confidence or to get a sharer in that could enjoy him and help with schooling, exercise and costs while she gets herself back?

the owner pays the RI to ride him every week and i know there are several people on the yard who wouod ride him if she asks (me included).

He was initially advertised at £2250 but as the market is saturated with coloured cobs owner was forced to reduce the price to try and sell him. A sad state of affairs :(

Whilst the video is nice - people would want to see walk, trot and canter on both reins, a few schooling moves and the odd jump. You've ticked most of these boxes. Good luck.

What a really nice little cob. He moves really nicely, and has a lovely trot.

Would be nice to see the canter moving more freely, but that will be down to rider's lack of suppleness, rather than the horse itself.

He's smashing - and I can't see why someone hasn't snapped him up.

I also have to say that I, personally, would trim him, pull his mane and wash and bang his tail. But that's just personal preference.

lol - the rider in the video is a professional!

I will be honest that the canter on the video is the first time he has cantered for months. As the owner is so nervous the RI has been working on Montys walk, trot and lateral work. We asked her to canter him for the video and he just went off first time like a dream - hence the big smile on the riders face when she finishes.

I do have footage of walk, trot and canter on both reins but selected the clips i used and sacrificed some others.
