seen this before ....wish more people took heed of it's message -sadly far too many folk breed thoughtlessly - and far too many badly bred dogs end up like this - so sad

Didn't watch it as this site is surely for dog lovers and that sort of video should eb shown to people that don't care about animals???

Emma

I've breed from my cat *To be fair thier was homes for the prue breeds* But this has put me off.. and i am a animal loving responsible owner so Emma i think your wrong on this one.

i think everyone should watch it. its all to easy to bury our heads in the sand. because we love our pets its difficult sometimes to comprehend these things. we sometimes need to see it in all its glorious technicolour. and if just a few of us are moved enough to get up and do something, no matter how small. then maybe just maybe, they did'nt die in vain.

That is so touching I think you should post this on the other forums too

brought a tear to my eye and made me a little ashamed to be a human....humans are cruel things

I had to turn it off half way through - could not watch anymore

It really does make me sick the way people treat animals

How I look at it is they are in care now and not with horrible owners who do not look after them.
The ones in kennels look so sad - however I am sure they are happier there than what there life was like before.

I would take them all home if I could..

That poor dog with his face and eye B*****S.

I hope some of them find a nice new home and willing to give them a chance.

as soon as anything drops on my animal they have them chopped off i dont belive in breeding there are too many animals stuck in kennels with no homes, too many people breed just to fill there pockets full of cash its not right.

the dogs and cats ect that get a place at various pounds are lucky, for they get a second chance. but sadly more and more of these pounds are full to bursting all year, and are having to turn away animals. many of these are euthinised as local authorities have no facilities for their care. most pounds do not euthinise a healthy animal, but sadly not all.

I don't get it either. Dogs are part of our families or at least they are to me, and they stay with me till their natural end. I did have to give one of my dog's away when I emigrated as she would never have dealt with the flight, but I found her a wonderful forever home where she is adored.

It really isn't difficult to stop your bitches becoming pregnant - whether you spay or not. I always have bitches and none of mine have been spayed and none of them have ever become pregnant. I am careful with my girls - and as I don't live near other people we don't have problem dogs badgering them. If I lived in a town then they would definitely be spayed.

the message behimnd it i think is either spay/neuter your animals or dont breed from them. the only problem is, with cats unless they stay in 24/7 you cant stop them from getting pregnant.

it is terribly sad, please crosspost anywhere and everywhere you can. please help get the message across

My Ben came from gypsies and was rescued with no hair, and the bone showing in his tail. the poor thing was terrified and has stiff back legs from time to time, and he has wobbly back legs from being shut up and beaten. he looked like this:

poorbenny.jpg

but had he not been rescued he would have been shoved in a pound and probably pts, as the pound probably wouldn't pay for an operation to amputate his tail. or treat his mange

PLEASE HELP GET THE MESSAGE ACROSS.

awwww that is really sad

we have bred from my bitch but we made sure they went to good homes and i know if anything happened to them like the owner couldnt look after them anymore (which i dont think will happen) they will come straight back to us!!! but now skye (the bitch) is getting done and so is buddy (boy puppy) when hes a bit older! We have also got a cat and she was done when she was young, because she likes to go out alot and me mum didnt want her getting pregnant!! x

At this time of year surely the age old saying should be heard once again?

A DOG IS FOR LIFE, NOT JUST FOR CHRISTMAS

Surely it should be re-written as

An ANIMAL is for life, not just for Christmas.

As it is also kittens that people get fed up with.... or that get bored with when they become bigger and "less playful" my cats are now 5 and a half years old, they are both as playful now as they were 5 yrs ago.

If people want to breed from their dog, they should have a licence and be a breeder...... if not they should neuter the dog/cat to prevent any more animals coming into the world where so many other animals need a home already..... this includes foals
