Presumably he wasn't as bad because he is on bute?

Amazed at the vets attitude perhaps its his small stature making them not be too bothered about it?

Do they realise this has happened suddenly!?
 
somewhere in the depths of my memory there is an issue about giving miniatures bute, you might want to check that out OP.
