Hello everyone! :)

I was wondering if any of you guys video your riding lessons, and how you do it? I am soon going to be making a fresh start at a new riding school and I want to video my lessons so I can document my progress. I am also thinking about uploading these to YouTube. Thoughts?

My sister is doing P.E. GCSE and she also needs to video her rides, I was looking at the Kodak Playsport for an economical and rugged camcorder - I don't want it to break the first time I drop it in the ménage!

Any feedback is greatly appreciated :)

Mum sometimes videos parts of lessons/ clinics for me. Very handy imo to see what it looks like from the ground, I gain a better understanding of what instructor ment :)

Videoing lessons is great plus a nice momento to save and look back at in years to come. Any camcorder will do and a tripod. Set it up at one end, hit record and ride, for extra protection get funky with duct tape and bubble wrap. I'd think twice about going public on youtube, there are some evil trolls out there. All my youtube videos are set to unlisted which means joe public can't see them in searches but anyone with the link can view them.

All good advice above I would just add that it would be a good idea to ask your instructor first especially if you want to put it on the net.

I filmed my OH when he had his first lessons, it was very useful for him to discuss it and for me to convince him he is a natural, dammit!:D

No fancy equipment needed, just my small digital camera on video function. Filmed in blocks, so easy to get rid of the bits when nothing happened.:)
