vidoe o my horse kicking off a bit

What a nice-looking horse. My only criticism is...

You call that messing about?????:confused::confused::rolleyes:;):D

Agree, when my nearly 17 yo decides to muck around he rears, bucks and cat leaps, then goes beautifully. Only thing I would say about the vid is that you allowed him to turn when he wanted to, bad girl :p.

But he is a lovely lad and if that is naughty send him to me, I will swap him for my lad.

Sorry but I've watched it 5 times trying to find a beastie kicking off! I must be watching the wrong video!

Yesterday my gorgeous beastie decided he had too much adrenaline and without any help from me did several laps in both directions with all four feet not connecting with the ground very often and at a speed that only tb's can. When he had finished he had a shake and walked around as if nothing had happened except for the look of "See I can if I want to!"

Two of my friends couldn't believe what they were seeing and literally had their jaws dropped!
One finally managed to ask "Does he do that often?"

I am so glad that he doesn't do it when I'm riding him!

rofl love it :D

lol, my 16 yr old tb x wb, tonight came blasting down the field and at the gate got so overwhelmed and excited that she had to roll in the muddiest bit, whilst snorting then leap in the air, then rear so high that her front legs did circles above her nose in the air!! then do some beautiful piaffe with her tail in the air and her nose snorting for england!! I thought it best to leave her to chill before I brought her in after all that!!!!

point 1 what a gorgeous handsome man
point 2 dont we lunge at times to let them get rid of thier built up exuberence
I have not read all replies but personally I saw a happy horse just saying wooo hooooo im full of energy but who still went forward. I was smiling watching video so for me thank you for sharing :) xx

ok pmsl just watched again with sound this time - slaps forehead - and can i say how nice it was to hear you so soft quiet and calming. so many people lose it if horse kicks heels up but you were so sweet esp about "do you want a cuddle" thats my words lol yay yay for nice owners :) xx toddles off to watch again :)

Aww hes gorgeous!! Looks like he was nice and fresh and enjoying being out and working!! you should see my boy when I free school him! hes a loon! Actually he pretty much free schools himself!! :D

He's lovely and I really enjoyed watching that. I don't ever see anyone else lunge their horses who muck around a bit (all seem very sensible at our stables) apart from mine that is, he does what Romeo was doing except he doesn't calm down when I talk!!!! Must be your accent it was very soothing!!

Thanks to comments above, indeed all. Yes if Romeo gets silly As do we all at times he can give me a scared look as if to say oops do I get told off now. And hes such a sweetie I can only hug him and reassure him. We know our horses and so far im lucky to not have to tell him off ..yet eek
Today I was txt by YM saying he was really playing up in stable and flinging himself about. This is new but understandable as hes wanting out and getting fit. I popped up and took him in school again.
This time he reared well a mini one as we went in then bumped my leg striking out to rear again but not so as it hurt luckily. I attempted to be firm and told him Id let him go if he promised to roll in the middle away from fence and remember it was there when rushing about. Towards end he was getting rather steamy and excited at tractor nearby. I shall post updated links to clips asap. Hes all cooled down and safely tucked up now. Thank goodness farrier comes 2morrow and he can enjoy getting out again :D
Thank you so much for the compliments though. I love him to bits and Im glad others enjoy seeing him

Please can we swap if that's his kicking off???? My little cob after 6 weeks off got away from me while being led into the indoor school...then tried to bolt with me after being caught and I attempted to ride him into the school..then did bolt with the kind young man who got on him for me because I've got a fractured elbow and was struggling to fight him...then gallopped head long around the school for 20 mins without stopping(even when asked!!)...then again tried to bolt out of the school, when realising his little jockey wasn't going to allow that he bucked and squealed like a big girlie and continued to gallop!!! Only stopped when he was nearly on his knees and I got on...to which he decided gallopping was in order again!!!! Day after I went for a hack which we jogged and cantered the whole way..wouldn't mind but I'm trying to be sensible and fitten him up with walking for a few weeks, trotting etc...he seems to have other idea's about what work he's doing though!!!

On the other side, rode my big cob (who's only 4) after 4 weeks off and he was a perfect gentleman!! So can't have it all I guess!!:D

Agree with this. It made me laugh when you said are you coming for a cuddle. I do that. Flippin softies we are! Better like that I reckons though than some of the mindless violence against horses I've witnessed over the last few days.
