viewing a horse with paralyzed larynx

Another positive, my 19 year old is a roarer and still does plenty of full days hunting, he needs to catch his breath after a good run but he copes well, I try to keep him very fit though as he isnt half as bad when fit!
 
I'm looking at a horse with laryngeal paralysis atm for hacking as ive disabilities. How did you get on with the horse you were going to see?

This is a very old thread, but I'd definitely suggest making sure a vet looks at the horse for you and really assesses the breathing. If the owner will share vet records that would be good too

I have one who has had a hobday procedure but she still struggles. Light hacking - mainly in walk - is fine

Hi Sel I've had him scoped. He's grade 3. He has hunted a couple of times and managed well. I really can only walk nowadays and very occasionally might do about 5 - 10 steps in trot but very rarely. Does your horse have any bother with choke or respiratory infections?
