Don’t want to jinx it by sharing information. Like buses two came along that seemed perfect (and impossibly similar in described temperament, size, level of training and suitability) but one sold on its first viewing (I was third in line). We are first in line for this one and this was my first choice. It would take us to four horses (two unridden) and that is really it so extra pressure to make the right choice.

Horse was lovely - smart, beautiful temperament, nicely schooled, hacks out quietly. Has two recently treated sarcoids . . . I’m now horribly confused.

I’ve asked for this and it’s being sorted. I understand it is just these two.

It feels a bit Russian roulette with them and I have no experience which makes it feel quite daunting.

How old is the horse, when and what were they treated with? My mare had two occult sarcoids in the same place, treated with Liverpool cream and didn't reoccur. She'd previously had a nodular sarcoid removed surgically, that had just started to grow when second occult appeared, it was treated at same time with LC. First appeared when she was 6, which is apparently a typical age for them, 8/9 when second was treated and was clear the rest of her life.

No. I didn’t specifically ask but did today at the viewing (lumps, bumps, blemishes). There is no way a vet wouldn’t spot them on a vetting.
If the seller had mentioned them on first contact, whether you asked or not ,I would have more confidence to take it further. I always wonder in cases like this , as the sarcoids are easy to spot, what else arnt they telling you that you can't see. Think I'm just too suspicious !!

I am also prone to a dose of scepticism! I viewed a horse a good while ago, being sold by a vet and was told a recent bone bruise was the only known injury (with only a v short time off games). My social media research showed that said horse had had 6/9 months off not that long before I viewed. Owner/vet claimed not to consider it material. It’s a blooming minefield out there!!
