This is going to be a really silly question but we have just got a horsewalker at my yard. Do you tie horses to the partions or just leave them loose? Yard is mine and never had one before so v. excited!!! Thanks in advance

Leave them loose but do watch them while they are on it, particularly for spooky horses or ones that haven't used one before. There have been some nasty accidents when horses weren't properly observed.
Lucky you, I miss having one.

Do you have the pushers turned on yours? It depends in all honesty- my horse i leave loose, he likes to walk along with his head on the floor, which is fine by me- at least he is stretching out his topline! My other horse i used to have to tie up because he would stop it, cheeky git!

Leave them loose. I put Leo on ours, he's a seasoned pro, but has obviously had the pushers on at a previous yard as he doesn't let them get close to him at all so I don't have them on

it depdns we have one at our yard and honestly 4/5 horse ore left loose....it depnds on the horse...some will happily walk along some with the heads down sniffing etc which is very good but others can get lazy and not walk pushing their bums on the barrier behind which isnt good as can leave sores on the quarters....in this case it is just tied fairly loose so it has to keep up...just watch each horse for a while and see!:) they are wonderful creations so handy!
