Horses slashed in Wiltshire Attack. The cuts were up to 11inches long and 1 inch deep in places. I'm sorry, but how can you find a punishment fitting enough for this sort of sickening crime? I can't quite believe why on earth someone would want to do this?? Any ideas?? It makes me furious

Bloody awful. Punishment would be to allow the owners of this horse to slash the horrid people who did it! Unfortunately I dont think these sorts of messed up people are ever caught. I wonder why they do it? And you'd think the horse would have told them where to go! Hopefully the got a few bloody hard kicks to their knee caps......

It's people like this that deserve nasty things to happen to them.
 
Do you know some horses are so trusting that they may not have put up too much of a fight. I also wonder if it is possible that they might have been twitched or even drugged whilst this was going on.
Agree though, that if someone is prepared to do this to an animal they should be prepared to receive the same treatment in punishment.....
 
Thats horrendous. Its not far from where we used to keep our neds and very close to where our farrier lives too. Ali Mead was one of our vets. Hope they recover quickly.
 
A friend of mines' horses were slashed recently. 4 out of 5 of them.

Her little mare had to be PTS because her front leg had been slashed skin deep all the way round the top of her leg causing the skin to roll down to her knee.

By the time the vets were able to try and stitch it together, the skin had died.

The injuries they all suffered were horrific
 
OMG that is horrific.
It makes me incredibly sad and even more angry.
I can't even call someone that does that a 'person'.....I just cannot comprehend what they were thinking
