I think I am being labelled thus by the residents of my village!
You see, they just can't figure out why I appear to be taking my horse (and occasionally, horses) out for a walk!
For me, it is pretty simple. Mr G is finally being brought back into work after spraining his pastern back in August, which rather devastatingly stopped us from competing at HOYS
Vet has okayed me to ride, but tbh hacking out in walk for 20 - 30 mins don't seem to be worth getting the tack out for, so instead, I have been walking him out in hand, which is rather nice and beneficial in terms if fitness for us both. After two weeks or so, he is now starting to do small sections of trot, so I'm running with him too
Mostly we head out on my normal run circuit, so I'm thinking at some point in the future, he might jog it all with me.....!
Today we (OH walking Pie Face - who likes coming out too for the occasional shufty - me and G) bumped into a lady from the village walking the same route and she was most perplexed as to what we were doing. We duly explained and had a laugh, then had to explain it all over again, a number of times as we bumped into different folk. There is a fair bit of curtain twitching going on through the village!
I still think it is a nice, non-stressful way to get through boring walk work though! Will back hop on when we can go further and faster!
