So, there we are the Master of Venice (Vinnie to his friends) is officially out. It was a tricky business, his wriggly self was not convinced about leaving the ''birthing suite'' ;), but we made it eventually. Now I had some oxygen and a lie down, I can supply you with photos:
first a snack:

then a bum check:

a bit of a think:

and we made it:

Hope you enjoy them, now is your turn to coo :D

I'm most thrilled with how well the mare is doing, she looks fab, foaled without any bother, which is great to see as she generally is a very poor doer and is getting on a bit, too. Her next foal, Vinnie's little brother or sister will be her last, I think, then she can lounge around for the rest of her days :)

Lucky girl :) she does look a super type, can't beat a good grey :) She looks very content with her job!

What words are there to describe those delicious baby animals?? Not enough that's for sure.

Really looking forward to following his progress.

As he is carefully bred ;) we will aim to leave him entire and grade him if we consider him good enough :) There is going to be loads of photos and updates :D
Persephone, the mare is a star, always has been and I'm really thrilled to have some stock to carry the lines into the future. She has some superb Shagya blood in her and I think it is worth preserving.
Even if I do say so myself, lol.
