Sorry to bore you all. Following on from my road rage motorist incident on Saturday.... The police have taken it very seriously and now I am going to press charges. My statement will be taken tomorrow. Apparently he did this to someone else only a week ago! Have to admit to being a bit scared but am so angry that he tried to mow us down. Wish me luck. xx

ooohh the plot thickens !!!

good luck,i hope he gets whats coming to him,go for it and make an example of him for motorists everywhere and justice for riders everywhere !

Excellent, how did you get his registration number?

Apparently he went into the local garage the next day and was gloating about his actions. One of the girls there told my husband and he found his car and got registration!

Excellent news that'll teach him to bully women then gob off about it!

Best of luck, & believe me I don't think anyone is bored of these updates - I can't be the only one who wants to know all the developments at every stage.
Do you think the girl who heard him gloating about it will be called to testify? If they can prove his actions were premeditated he'll get a far stiffer sentence if found guilty.
Well done for pursuing this as well - it sounds as if he's starting to make a habit of this behavior, & you could be well on the road to putting a stop to it.

Fantastic news!!!

I'm very glad to hear it. Well done you. Keep the updates coming and let us know what happens to the idiot!!

Great news! Don't be scared, you're doing the right thing and you may be saving someone else from this moron. Obviously the police are taking it seriously, and the person in the garage was clearly not impressed either, so that's really good. He was in the wrong, end of. Keep us updated!

Well done you and thank goodness the police are taking it seriously. Please don't think any of us are bored with reading these updates - I am sure you have a lot of support. Reading between the lines - do you think he is anti-women rather than just anti-horse? I just hope he is stopped before something terrible happens. It must be scarey for you - but a huge HUG and well done

hopefully the old bill will do more than just tell him to behave himself.....have to admit that if someone did that to my OH I'd be the one that was in trouble now as unfortunately I would not have been able to restrain myself from giving him a bloody good slap to point out the error of his ways...sorry if that puts me in the category of another violent man, but I cant stand men that bully women (especially women on horses!!)

Yay! Good for you! Keep up the pressure and if you need anyone to throw away the key, I'll be first in the queue - nasty man!

very well done for pursuing it... it's so easy to be apathetic in circumstances like this, but you might well be preventing him from maiming (or worse) a rider or horse in future.
when something similar happened to me the police played it right down, very annoying, so i'm really glad to hear that they're taking it seriously.
please keep us informed. it's really good to know something positive is being done about horse and rider safety.

Definitely not boring
As above you could be saving someone else an accident
You are giving others the confidence to say it is worthwhile taking action against this type of behaviour
We have historical rights to be on the roads
Well done keep us in the picture

Well done Moneypit. I am certainly not bored by your post. We are in the same area and frequently have younsters out on the road, so very pleased that you will make a difference.
Thank you.
