Anyone got any experiences/reviews - thinking about purchasing one when a brown version is released in a couple of months but would like to hear real feedback first before splashing the cash!
I didn't realise that they were going to be releasing a brown one. I'm glad that I've held off buying one, as shallow as it is one of the reasons was the colours as they are not to my personal liking.
That's interesting. I discussed it with my hugely experienced physio and trainer, both are very cynical and tend to dismiss anything newish, both said they had clients that had used the VIP pad and found it made a big difference to the comfort of the horse. Like Sprat I have problems in my lower back and I can honestly say I am also much more comfortable and Rose seems a much happier softer horse since we started using it.I was looking at these for my KS horse but was told to stick with normal sheepskin..
Hi, my understanding was that the pad is not supposed to stop the saddle slipping so I looked at their website. I found this under the FAQs. I've tried it directly onto Rose's back and also between the numnah and saddle, Rose seeme to prefer the latter.I did look at these but I can’t understand how a pad can keep a saddle from slipping and not effect the fascia .
if you have a KS horse this what you want avoid at all costs .
sbloom - can I please ask what you like so much about Poron XRD? it is possible to buy sheets of it in the uk .....![]()
Rider feedback frequently says that The VIP stops their saddle moving, but we don’t make this claim as the pad was not designed for this purpose.
Thank you Leo and Sbloom.
I haven't bought it yet, but was going to try this link....
https://www.sevillacomponents.co.uk/poron-xrd-sheet
or
https://www.algeos.com/poron_xrd_black-abraded_on_one_side.html
ETA to say I've just ordered a sheet from the 2nd link - less than 1/2 the price of a VIP pad including VAT and postage - I'll let you know if it arrives!
